Job Title:                     Sales Representative

Starting Wage:           $31,200.00 or DOE

Department:               Marketing

Reports To:                 Director of Marketing & Sales

Essential Functions:    Sales & Marketing

Duties and Responsibilities:

Work with new and existing clients regarding:  Corporate Website, charters, special fares, special events.
Work with existing customers and keep them updated on enhancements and new programs.
Develop Client Base for future sales:
Anchorage base corporate
i.      Native Associations
ii.      Oil Base companies
iii.      Local and state governments
Fishing Companies in Seattle, Anchorage, Bristol Bay, SW communities
Tour companies
Travel Agencies – Anchorage, Seattle
Community based corporate
i.      Schools
ii.      Lodges
Assist in the development of new clientele in both Anchorage and outside communities – in conjunction with Marketing
Monthly Events; including luncheon and after hours functions
Work with Marketing Director & Station Managers on community events, etc.
Charter Customers

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Proficient in microsoft word, excel and outlook as well as filemaker and photoshop.
Works independently, using invention, originality, exercising discretion.

 Develops and implements long-range marketing strategy, plan and budget for all CATC brands. Analyzes market and demographic data, creates short-range competitive sales and marketing tactics to protect and enhance CATC market share in marine, lodging and packaging businesses. Directs multiple third-party agencies in the development of internet, TV, radio and traditional collateral campaigns.   Travel is required.

Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business administration, minimum five years experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.  Tourism industry experience preferred.

As a local nonprofit, the Anchorage Concert Association is looking for creative ways to stretch its marketing budget. ACA executive director Jason Hodges and marketing director Jason Grenn will tell the story of how a local non-profit learned the value in social media beyond event announcements. ACA and the marketing department are now getting instant and honest feedback from the community, engaging ticket holders, and making new friends on a daily basis.
